Two girls who begrudgingly became focused on our food habits and body functions after we each lost sight of healthy in our past career as florists. Best friends for over 15 years who met marching drum corps in the middle of Alabama.

For 5 years, together we owned and operated Flower shops in the DFW Metroplex. With the busy wedding pace and daily deliveries we lost sight of our health. Rochelle was over 275lbs, struggling to walk at a healthy pace and keep

up with daily mobilities. Wendy was 60lbs heavier than she had ever been and was stuck in a sugar spiral that controlled every food choice she made. Together we felt lost in food, different habits and cravings with the same result of disordered eating.

After an upsetting doctors appointment in 2019 for Rochelle, we decided as a team we were going to concur our health. First things first, Rochelle's doctor advised her to lower her stress as soon as possible and move to a healthier diet or risk an early stroke or heart attack. Together we decided to close our stores to place our health at the forefront of our priorities. Closing our stores was a very emotional time for both of us, however we knew we needed to change to find our health again.

Without any knowledge of food or health, we decided to use food as medicine and as a tool to help assist in our disordered eating. Pretty soon, we came to realize just how powerful foods were individually and changed our career paths, this quote has meant a lot to us over the years.

"Let thy food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food" - Hippocrates - 400 BC

Shifting our diet, combined with daily walks, we were both able to lose over 60lbs. This weight loss changed our daily lives dramatically. All of the sudden we had lots of energy, our skin cleared and we were feeling so much better all around. Our blood lab reports improved and we felt an overall change for the better in our day to day lives.

Seeing just how powerful these changes were, as a team we decided to dive in to learning as much as we could about current nutrition studies. Rochelle chose the path of becoming a Registered Dietitian, while Wendy decided to jump full feet into functional food medicine. Together we feel we can support our clients on a path to understanding their unique bodies and nutritional needs.

As a team we are focused on bringing nutrition literacy to our community. Our mission is to increase knowledge about nutrition wherever we go. You can always find us in grocery stores around the DFW metroplex talking about how powerful food is as medicine. We run our community on the app Discord (an app focused on private communication within communities) and provide a food accountability tool to all of our clients. If you would like to speak with us about your diet and habits we would love to talk with you. You can book time with us here.
